Welcome to Day 2 of the Self-Awareness Challenge: Catch & Reframe Fear-Based Thoughts! Yesterday, we focused on noticing our fear-based thoughts - the sneaky ones that hold us back. Today, we are taking the next step: challenging them. Is That Thought Really True?Fear-based thoughts love to sound convincing, but they rarely tell the full story. Let's break them down with a simple question: "Is this thought a fact, or is it just a story I am telling myself?" 🚦Examples: 💭 "I am terrible at public speaking." 🔎 Challenge: Are you really terrible, or are you just uncomfortable? Have you had moments where you did okay? 💭 "If I set a boundary, they won't like me." 🔎 Challenge: Is that true? Or are you assuming how someone else will react? Have you ever set a boundary and had it go well? 💭 "I'll probably fail, so why try?" 🔎 Challenge: Can you predict the future? What if you succeed? Today's Challenge: Is It True?
Whenever you catch a fear-based thought today, take a moment to pause and ask: ✅ Is this 100% true? ✅ What is a more balanced way to see this? Even if you are not ready to fully believe the new perspective, opening the door to a different way of thinking is a win. 🗒️ Pro tip: Write down a fear-based thought you notice today and challenge it with a more empowering truth.
