"Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished." -Lao Tzu
Taking time out to recharge and cleanse, to make way for the new week ahead, I spent time at the beach. Spending time at the beach always inspires me and allows my imagination to move freely when it comes to my work. As I sat still and looked out into the vast beauty, I allowed my eyes to move slowly, catching sight of the two shells in the photo above on the left. Without this stillness I would have missed the delicate shell on the left. Thoughts of where these shells have been and the experience they have had came to mind. Knowing that they have been through so much to get to this place on the beach made me appreciate them even more. The photo to the right comes from a favorite coffee shop of mine. Sitting and being surrounded by rose bushes, I noticed the thorns. Thorns are defined as a stiff, sharp-pointed, straight or curved woody projection on the stem or other part of a plant. A thorn's purpose for a rose is to protect the plant from animals and people. Thorns have a place in this world too. I have a deeper appreciation for thorns today. What do you see in each photo? I invite you to share in the comment sections!
