My daughters sat outside in our front yard yesterday drawing. I told them to try drawing for at least 5 minutes. They were there longer then 5 minutes. They returned with such beautiful drawings. The drawings are above!
This morning they asked what today's mindful activity is. We are about to embark on that activity. Today's Activity: Go out for a walk around your neighborhood. Find 5 different plants/flowers. At each one, pause and notice the beauty that it has to offer. Take a picture and create a collage of the 5. Share with someone! Email me at [email protected] to share. Mindfulness Activity of the Day: Take a moment, get a piece of paper and something to draw with, and sit outside somewhere for at least 5 minutes. During that time, look around at what surrounds you and begin to draw. Let yourself be open to whatever comes to you and draw away! Practicing mindfulness daily has so many benefits. When we practice something regularly, we increase our capacity to improve in that activity and also see how we can create something extraordinary from it.
